449 // STYLE WATCH / Why Ashlee Simpson Is Changing Her Hairstyle for Fall Ashlee Simpson is letting her hair get long.
The starlet, who, until now, proudly sported a light blonde pixie cut, is modifying her look for fall.
Speaking to PEOPLE over the weekend during the Fiji Summer Soak at the MGM Grand Hotel’s Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas, Simpson — dressed in a polka dot 6 Shore Road jumper and strappy sandals — explained her evolving hairstyle.
“I’ve had short hair for two years … I just decided I’m going to grow it out because I can always cut it if I don’t like it,” she shared. But that doesn’t seem to be the case just yet.
“It’s nice,” she added. “I can actually braid it and take it to another level.” And we can’t wait to see it!

Q: In a few weeks you’ll be hosting FIJI Water SummerSoak in Las Vegas– what’s the one thing you should always remember to bring to a pool party?
FIJI Water, obviously, to stay hydrated!

I love FIJI Water!! I always feel like I’m having the very best.
Q: What do you love about Las Vegas, FIJI Water’s SummerSoak location?
Well, what better location for an oasis like FIJI than the desert?
Q: What are your beach bag must haves?
Towel, cover up, sunscreen and some great music.
Q: What’s your song of this summer?
Well, its not a song but I’ve been loving the Madeleine Peyroux station on Pandora.
Q: What summer trend do you love right now?
With such a hot summer my trend has been simply about staying cool. Bob Marley and Steel Pulse helps. :)
Q: What’s your favorite social media platform? Facebook? Twitter? Instagram?
I enjoy Twitter most!
Q: What projects are you working on right now?
I just wrapped shooting a movie called PAWN SHOP CHRONICLES in Louisiana. I had an amazing time and the cast and crew were so much fun to work with. Also, I’ve been in the studio working away at making some new music.

444 // NEW PHOTOS / Leaving Manhattan apartment (9/04) It is currently a big fashion trend to wear neon bras under sheer white T-shirts.
But Ashlee Simpson gave the style a bit of a grungy twist today as she was spotted out in New York City.
The 27-year-old revealed her black bra under a loose top as she made her way to the airport with her three-year-old son Bronx.
The singer was seen leaving her Manhattan apartment, also with boyfriend, Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza, who helped carry her large Louis Vuitton suitcase.
Ashlee was jetting out of the Big Apple to Los Angeles, where Bronx's father and her ex-husband Pete Wentz lives with girlfriend Meagan Camper.
She may have also been going on the trip to visit her big sister Jessica and her new baby niece Maxwell.
The blonde paired her cheeky attire with some washed out black jeans, which displayed her very slim pins.
Both Ashlee's sheer top and jeans come from Anine Bing's self-titled clothing label.
Bing is Sweden's best known supermodel and now the creator of her brand new fashion line.
The younger Simpson wore cream Converse Chucks on her feet and accessorised with some aviator sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Bronx emulated his mother's grungy style in a T-shirt featuring a record player print and black trousers.
Upon arriving at LAX airport later in the evening, Ashlee cradled her toddler as they made their way through the terminal.
She had changed into a pair of comfy baggy trousers and some multi-coloured high-top sneakers.
Piazza appeared not to have joined the pair and stayed behind in Manhattan.
